MediaTek unveils two new 64-bit chipsets for tablets

Mobile processor chip manufacturer based in Taiwan, MediaTek, keep trying to strengthen its position in the segment of mobile device hardware. They have now launched two new processor chip products intended for tablets. Both the processor chip MT8163 and MT8735 is.

Both chip processor comes with four cores and using 64-bit technology. Although both have four cores and 64-bit technology, the latest product mempunyia big difference. MediaTek MT8163 is intended for tablet with WiFi connectivity only. This chip uses four core Cortex A53 that support dual band WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, Android 5.0 and be able to handle Full HD screen. Reportedly, these chips are sold per unit for 5 USD.

Meanwhile MediaTek MT8735 is claimed to have 20 percent higher performance and power consumption 10 percent more efficient than its competitors. This chip supports high end cameras and can be equipped with support for FDD-LTE, TDD-LTE, WCDMA, CDMA2000, full-mode 4G tablet TDS and GSM. Not to forget, this processor chip also supports dual-band WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0.
